The work sample I’m showing for biology is the Eukaryotic Cell Analogy Project
For this project, I created an analogy model of an animal cell. At the time in Biology, we were learning about eukaryotic cells and what makes up a cell. We learned about the analogy of a plant and animal cell, and what every part inside does. For my project, I created an analogy of an animal cell as the military. For the project, we had to come up with something that could display what was in an animal cell and write what role it did in the analogy and in the cell. When the drawing was completed we also had to fill out a chart with all the information from the poster
21st Century
The 21st century skill that was used on this project was self-direction skills. Self direction skills is when I can be assigned a task and be able to complete it by myself. During this project, I had to come up with my own analogy and find information about the military branch tree. I was given a task and using self-direction skills, I came up with my own idea, used creativity on my poster and got a good grade.
i am most proud of my creativity that came to mind with this project. I feel that it was really cool to use the militarty as an analogy to a plant cell
I chose this work sample because i feel like it was my best work in biology throughout quarter 1. i also feel like the project really shows how much i learned about eukaryotic cells
the difficult part for me was the drawing. it was hard to draw the badges of the military branche because they all had their own little details
If i could improve this project, I would fix the drawings. im okay with the final outcome, but i feel like if i spent more time on the drawing portion, i'd be more satisfied
this project demonstrated how much i learned about cells, and how i can be given a task and use my creativity to complete it
