I did this project with a partner. My partner was Enzo. Our assignment was to create a catapult with limited supplies. The supplies given were popsicle sticks, rubberbands, tape, and a hot glue gun. Once we had our catapult assembled, we launched a marshmallow and dice. We recorded videos of our catapult launching, and measured the distance and time traveled in the air. With our recorded data we were able to see that our catapult was able to launch over the imaginary castle. We also used our calculations to create a desmos chart comparing each trial’s height and distance. I am very satisfied with how this project turned out. I had a lot of fun with enzo building the catapult and launching the materials on the deck. We were a very succesful team!
COMMUNICATION SKILLS- Throughout this project i used a lot of communication skills. Enzo and I had to work together finding a catapult design and figuring out how to construct it. We made it so we each had our own tasks so we could comprimise time. While we were recording our data we did a lot of communicating figuring out the best angles to shoot in, methods and placement to launch the catapult, and etc.
